5 Steps to Niche Profits
I know, I know… The headline of this post sounds like a bunch of hype to you.
Actually, after reading it again. It sounds like a bunch of hype to me too.
But, guess what? It’s true!
If you are an information marketer or looking to become one, you may want to keep your eyes glued to this post. Don’t worry; I will keep it short, sweet, and informational.
Here’s the deal…
Discovering a niche market that turns and burns sales like “In N’ Out” does with hamburgers is an information marketers dream. And if you happen to be passionate about your niche, then you will have a field day. That said…
- What if you are just in the game for the money
- What if you don’t have the time it takes to create in depth report for your special niche
- What if you are just in the game for the money… oh, I already said that one.
Well… I have a solution for you.
First, I’m going to assume that you know that information products are, have, and always will be in demand. The truth is that people are willing to pay for what they don’t know. In fact, they are itching to spend their money on it… all you have to do is scratch the itch.
Below I am going to unveil a bit of priceless information to you… It’s going to sound very simple, and, ABC-ish to you. But don’t question the effectiveness for one second of the following information.
1.Never overestimate your niche audience
What you consider to be common knowledge, may not be to someone else.
Example: Let’s say that you want to develop an informational report on, ” how to swim, using the proper technique.” Now, you may be a swimming expert. So the information may seem very basic to you. But you have to keep in mind that you are not marketing your product to other swimming experts. Your target audience will consist of novice and/or amateur swimmers at best.
I’m not suggesting in any way that you should sacrifice the value of your product… just don’t get carried away trying to please everyone. It’s impossible.
2.Never over-complicate the process
It can be very difficult to get your ideas from point A to Z or start to finish. Don’t waste your time trying to make the perfect product. Always remember that the product that you develop will always have an audience. You just have to find it.
3.Research you niche market
You must evaluate your competition. That way, you know what you are up against. Also, this gives you the chance to see what’s working for others. In fact, you may want to invest a little cash by purchasing the products of your competition. By doing so you will have an edge. This may also inspire a few ideas for your product.
4.Pull the trigger
Have you ever heard of the “speed of implementation?” Eben Pagan talks about this quite a bit. And what it represents is the time it takes for you to take your ideas from thoughts to realities. The second that you have an idea you must immediately initiate the process of bringing it to life.
5.Learn some copywriting techniques
Before I started marketing online, I had very basic copywriting knowledge. To tell you the truth, copywriting is a skill that I have adopted and I’m constantly in the practice of improving on. Why is copywriting so important? Well… since there is no physical or face to face contact when marketing online, to do your selling. You will have to rely on a sales letter. And, a sales letter that is effective will often times have great copywriting. The purpose of the sales letter is to communicate with your visitors and establish a connection.
Once you complete your information product the only thing left to do is publish and market it.
